Skylar Bunk is a pianist, conductor, and educator working in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

He currently serves on the faculties of both the Center for Theater Arts in Mt. Lebanon, and Kathy’s Music, where he teaches piano and voice. Skylar has worked extensively with preschool students and collegiate music majors, has taught piano in both private and classroom settings, and coached and accompanied vocalists in a wide range of styles. His teaching is greatly influenced by his training in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and his research interests in Embodied Music Cognition.

In addition, he serves as the Assistant Conductor of the South Hills Chorale, is the Director of Music Ministry at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mt. Lebanon, and is looking forward to begin singing with one of the region’s premiere chamber choirs, Voces Solis.

Skylar holds degrees from Duquesne University (B.M., M.M.) where he studied piano, voice, and choral conducting. Additionally, he is studying at Carnegie Mellon’s Marta Sanchez Dalcroze Training Center and is a candidate for the Certificate in Dalcroze Eurhythmics.
